Snails are kinda gross when you really think about it.
They leave a trail of sticky residue EVERYWHERE they go. They can’t help it. It literally oozes out of them.
Jesus can be like snail slime. When you pass through another’s day or life are you leaving a trail behind you?
Are you leaving a sticky residue behind? If so call a doctor, I mean, let me rephrase, are you leaving a little bit of Jesus?
With each interaction, thought, smile and wave, our day to day, moment by moment, breath by breath existence is going to leave a trail. It can either be icky and gross or a love poured out that people experience a little bit of Jesus when you pass by.
My goal is to leave a trail of love that leads to Jesus no matter where my day takes me. ***I’m not always successful but I try. I didn’t want you to think that I’m walking around with my head in the clouds reciting “I’m blessed, I’m blessed” to everyone I meet. My sarcasm and rage issues see to that.
Many folks think that the only way they can make a difference is by arduously searching for God’s will for them, which typically involves some BIG thing that’s just waiting to be discovered.
Yes, sometimes BIG plans are revealed but those are just logistics. God’s will for your life never changes.
Location may change. Jobs may change. Homes will sell. Parenting continues.
But God’s will for your life, and mine, is to know Him and make Him known.
How you do that is simply in the details. Everyone’s path looks a little different – as it should.
Ready to make a difference? Ready to embrace God’s will for you?
Love like a snail.
Fill yourself up with Jesus and then let His love flow through you and hopefully it leaves a trail!
Till the next time,
LOVE!
Awesome word Julie! Tell Zack Bailey will protect him from the snails lol!
Who could not love this! Julie, you always leave Jesus residue with me. I love the pip’s picture – she should illustrate all your blogs – and the picture of Zack is great – he’s the most photogenic dog!
Love, love, loved this, old friend!!! Resonated with what my small group discussed just today. Nothing happens by chance:-)
