I’m honored you stopped by. My name is Julie Buchtenkirch.
Yea, don’t even try, just call me Julie B.
My passion is helping women move from the “I am JUST” mindset into the “I AM who God created me to be” truth, which unlocks your purpose, your unique power and some pretty amazing possibilities.

I wish we could meet over a hot cup of coffee because quite frankly I’d rather talk about you!
Meeting for coffee and listening to people’s stories is one of my favorite things to do!
But alas, since we can’t, here’s a little bit about me.
I LOVE Jesus, books, food, my family & friends, laughing, color, antique stores, chocolate, adorable packaging, coffee, dogs, Christmas, being productive, encouraging others and coffee. Did I mention coffee?
I’ve been married to my college sweetheart for over 20 years and we’ve seen our share of ups and downs. We currently live in Indianapolis but have former addresses in Virginia, Illinois, and California. I’d follow him anywhere….he’s my plumb line and tells me I’m not crazy (every creative, Type-A person needs someone like this!).
I have two children who have a unique ability to keep me humble, running and laughing. And when I say running, it’s figurative. I don’t run. Ever. Well, I did once, training for a 5K but then my feet hurt so now I walk.
Last but not least we have a blind dog named Zack who will drink your coffee……if he finds it. He does bump into a wall now and then but eventually gets to where he’s going. He’s pretty stinking cute. I wish you could see him.
A few more random facts about me:
- I tend to have too many ideas and not enough time.
- I once sat on an appetizer table dressed as a mermaid.
- I’m not a coffee snob, if it technically qualifies as coffee, I’ll drink it.

Ever have thoughts that leave you feeling like you’re just not “Enough”?
Have you ever wondered why you’re here? Or spent hours trying to figure out what your purpose is?
It’s a question we all struggle to answer.
Age doesn’t matter. Gender doesn’t matter. Everyone wrestles with this question.
College students, cool Dads and not so cool Dads, Pastors, Starbucks’ Baristas, stay-at-home Moms, teenagers, your yoga instructor, pretty much all of humanity.
When trying to discover our purpose we typically start with ourselves. What should I do? What do I want to be? What are my goals and dreams?
It’s a cruel joke this temporal world plays on us and it keeps us forever searching, seeking and striving to discover why we exist as the focus stays on us.
But here’s the thing, your purpose will never be revealed by focusing on yourself.
Most of us connect our purpose to “doing” or “achieving” something. Become a teacher, doctor, wife, Mother, artist, etc.
Rick Warren, author of “The Purpose Driven Life” says – “If you want to know why you were placed on this planet, you must begin with God. You were born by His purpose and for his purpose”.
Your purpose isn’t found in what you do or what you pursue.
Your purpose is found in God. You were created for His glory.
What does that mean??????
When God created you – He wired and gave you personality traits and giftings that no one else has that unique combination – nobody. There is only 1 you. And there will only ever be 1 you.
So who you are – your unique self glorifies the Father like nobody else can, because He created you for that.
But many of us struggle with believing that we have any real purpose or giftings. We compare ourselves to those around us and feel less than which keeps us trapped in the “I am just” mindset, this idea that we’re not enough.
It’s a lie that will keep you from living out your purpose.
You are not a mistake. You are God’s handiwork. And it’s a beautiful thing.

Beauty
Beauty…inside and out
Not only are you more than enough but to God you are considered to be more precious than Jewels! Matthew 10:30
We are God’s creation and each of us is astoundingly beautiful in His eyes, but what is real beauty?
Beauty is defined not just by physical appearance but by a combination of qualities of character shining from the inside out. What does that mean?
By developing inner workings like confidence, love, patience, and joy, the person you are becoming shines from the core of who you are.
It will radiate to those you connect with!
Your outward appearance should not be a facade but rather a light from the very person you are on the inside. God has given each of us unique qualities and gifts to be used to impact others for His glory.
He has designed you ON purpose, FOR a purpose, and it’s a beautiful thing. There is no one else like you!
We are His masterpiece and He has made everything beautiful in its time.
Ecclesiastes 3:11.

A quick word about outer beauty…
…while inner beauty is #1, I must admit that I’m a sucker for most things leopard print, a cool shoe, a pretty lipstick, and skincare. While strengthening the inner man, it’s ok to enhance our outer beauty because something happens when we feel beautiful on the outside. Our confidence grows, we feel more courageous and we begin to believe that we are lovely and worthy of self-care. Every woman should feel beautiful, both inside and out. That’s one of the reasons I partner with Rodan+Fields Dermatologists. Jesus renews our insides and Rodan+Fields helps with the outside. One of my passions is helping women discover their inner and outer beauty.
It’s been a joy sharing this skincare with women and watching them grow more confident, quite literally, in their own skin.
